Just Cook Foods is the concept born from the husband and wife team of Scott Lucas and Cathy Storfer with help from their friend, professional executive chef Daniel Capra. In 2008, after the financial crash, Scott and Cathy decided to pack up and travel the world with the intent on finding a new life’s path in a time of dire uncertainty. Four months and four continents later, the couple got the idea to start up their own business inspired by the new culinary flavors they’d both experienced during the trip. But before Scott and Cathy could see their dream of owning a business become a reality, they needed guidance. This guidance came in the form of their friend Daniel Capra, a professional executive chef whose resume includes such illustrious names as Paula De Luc Fine Catering, the James Beard House in New York City, and in critically-acclaimed restaurants across Washington D.C. and New Orleans. Together, their enthusiasm of food and celebration of fine dining led to the creation of Just Cook Foods, a boutique brand that sells all-natural, gluten free gourmet spice rubs for meats, poultry, and fish.
