Dansk began in 1954, after its founders were inspired by a unique set of cutlery seen at the Kunstindustrimuseet (Danish Museum of Art & Design) in Copenhagen. The cutlery was designed by famed Danish artist and sculptor Jens Quistgaard, who would go on to create the very first line of Dansk products known as Fjord Flatware. In 1974, Dansk was born.
