This is a Dyson DC17 Filter Kit which includes both the filters used on the Dyson DC17 Bagless Uprights. Included with this kit is the washable secondary blue foam filter which fits Part 911236-01, as well as the Dyson DC17 Animal Post Exhaust HEPA Filter fits Part 911235-01. Fits all DC17 Bagless Models Including: DC17 Total Clean, DC17 Asthma & Allergy, DC17 HSN Exclusive, and the Dyson DC17 Animal. The blue sponge washable filter is located underneath of the dust cup assembly, and needs to be washed every 30 days, and replaced once a year, and the Post HEPA Filter is located on the bottom portion of the vacuum and captures all the fine microscopic dust particles, pet dander, and other airborne allergens, and should be replaced once every year depending on how often the machine is used. If your Dyson starts loosing suction power, or makes a funny smell while running, it's probably time to replace both filters. Both filters are designed to fit Dyson OEM Parts 911235-01 and 911236-01.
